Who is behind IndustryApps?

IndustryApps is a distributed team of Technology experts, Process experts, Lean consultants and Global supply chain and manufacturing leaders who are replicating the success of consumer technology adoption to Industrial space. You can find more details in the about us section.

Where is my Data stored?

We are hosted on Microsoft Azure, which is backed by the same infrastructure and security that Microsoft uses for its own services.

Customer data is stored in German data centre for countries except China. Some data (HTML pages & assets) may be cached in other geographies by our CDN. Access to private content through our CDN is always validated through our application servers using a complex permissions system.

Microsoft follows or even leads most of the industry's best-practices and is compliant with most major security standards and certifications.

What are the charges for using the platform?

The platform which includes Central master data layer, Asset administration shell gateways, Machine data gateways, ERP connectors are offered with no charges. Costs are associated with Apps and its subscription.

How do I receive my invoices?

The corporate admin user has authorization to see all active subscriptions and its proforma invoices online. Invoices are send monthly via email on a monthly basis. Invoices would carry all apps subscribed by work locations and its prices as per the subscription order.

What happens to my Data when I unsubscribe an App?

When you unsubscribe a solution from Industryapps platform - Only the solution capability is removed. Data remains under customer ownership. Masterdata is centrally managed and any transactional data can be either archived or loaded to alternative apps - If user re-subscribes the App, Historically data could be seen again.

What browsers are supported by IndustryApps platform?

IndustryApps supports the current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

There may be special Apps which are tuned for specific browsers and they perform best in those environments. We recommend to always use latest browser versions for most optimal experiences.

Is customer data encrypted?

Yes, all customer data is encrypted at rest and in-transit:

• In transit, we use HTTPS to encrypt all traffic served to end-users.

  • Even user-provided custom domains are covered, thanks to LetsEncrypt and Cloudflare.

• At rest on Azure Platform, using multiple layers of AES256-AES128.

How are users authenticated?

By default, all customer data, unless explicitly public, can only be accessed by authenticated users with valid permissions.

You can control and restrict access through group master app, allowing you to create roles, whilst restricting their access to a chosen subset of your app functions and features.

How well is IndustryApps protected against common web applications vulnerabilities?

Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) on Azure Application Gateway provides centralized protection of your web applications from common exploits and vulnerabilities. IndustryApps was architected with Industrial data security needs in mind.
